NPUST has built an interdisciplinary research team–integrating management of information systems, forestry, plant medicine, plant industry, etc. — to solve the problems such as soil loss and early-warning system for natural disasters by using big data, and to strengthen the school’s international demonstration area of soil and water conservation. The university exports its disaster prevention technology abroad to help Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and other countries conduct local soil and water conservation research. Through the process of data collecting and field studying, the school encourages its departments to open relevant innovation programs, such as intelligent disaster prevention program to cultivate talents of disaster analysis and early-warning system.
