The President of Isabela State University (Philippines), Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, and their International Director, Dr. Isagani P. Angeles Jr., visited NPUST on December 12 (2022) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NPUST President Chin-Lung Chang, formally establishing a sister school relationship between the two academic institutions and thereby opening a new page for exchange and cooperation.

On November 18, 2022, in response to the United Nation’s Higher Education Sustainability Initiative, nine of Taiwan’s national universities met at the National Taiwan University Administration Hall to jointly announce the formation of the “Taiwan University Alliance for Sustainable Governance”.
為呼應聯合國高等教育永續倡議延伸承諾，臺灣大學、臺灣師範大學、臺灣科技大學、中央大學、中興大學、中山大學、臺灣海洋大學、屏科大以及東華大學等9所國立大學，111年11月18日於台灣大學行政大樓共同發起成立「臺灣永續治理大學聯盟」，期盼建立高等教育機構間的交流網絡，共享臺灣情境的大學永續治理相關資訊與知識，共同肩負起大學永續發展及社會責任，邁向永續發展目標。
Researchers from NPUST, Academia Sinica, and the Taiwan Air Force have jointly developed a real-time AI weather forecasting system, which can be carried in a suitcase.
本校智慧機電學程主任徐子圭教授、中研院環境資源研究所陳致穎博士、空軍航院軍事氣象系葉南慶副教授共同研發「AI即時氣象預報手提箱」，是一套可攜式且相對平價的即時天氣預報手提野戰式系統，可將高時空解析度雷射式剖風儀(Doppler Wind Lidar)觀測數據透過資料同化法引入到數值模式。本研究同時與全美排名第一研究降雨預測中心－美國南加州大學水文科技中心副主任徐國麟教授合作，透過整合來自美國NCEP環境預報中心、NCAR大氣研究中心及WRF氣象資料庫，發展出高時空解析度資料同化預報模式，其應用於機場的預報系統，可大幅提升對流降雨量及風場之預報。此項發明榮獲「2022美國達文西發明展金牌」及「國防部年度國防科技學術合作研究優質計畫獎」。
Once nearly extinct, Taiwan’s native lime variety, Citrus depressa, is experiencing a cultivation revival thanks to the hard work of Shun Ge, the founder of the Dollarmon Citrus Depressa Organic Farm. The lime, which is also referred to as the Taiwan tangerine, has become a focus of research at the NPUST Department of Biological Science and Technology. Two professors from the department, Hsueh-Ling Cheng and Chi-I Chang, have been investigating the bioactive properties of the lime and cooperating with Shun Ge to develop a more diverse set of value-added products. On November 8th, results of the cooperation were published at the meeting room in the NPUST Department Biological Science and Technology and a technology transfer agreement was signed between the NPUST and Dollarmon.
原本在台灣已近絕跡的原生種扁實檸檬（俗稱台灣香檬），經過台灣大樂檬公司葉文陽先生經多年努力，復育台灣本土香檬，使其在台灣恢復蓬勃生機。本次台灣大樂檬公司與本校生物科技系鄭雪玲教授與張誌益教授合作，利用生科技術進行香檬生物活性物質研究並開發出更多元的產品。今日(11/8)上午10:30在生技大樓3樓會議室舉行「復育台灣原生種扁實檸檬暨農產生技研發產學合作」發表會，除展示台灣香檬的復育成果外，也將開發研究的新產品一同發表。同時，屏科大張金龍校長與大樂檬生技丁念慈總經理共同簽署產學計畫與技術移轉合約，農糧署姚志旺副署長、農學院徐睿良院長、生物科技系胡紹揚主任、鄭雪玲教授、張誌益教授、陳又嘉教授、大樂檬生技丁念慈總經理、葉文陽先生、張國華先生、邱詩涵小姐、陳盈成先生、彭貞瑀小姐、張晴小姐、呂勁漢先生等人共同見證簽約儀式，並揭開香檬果汁中較少為人知的有效成分外，產學合作面上也將共同攜手開發新的香檬生技產品。
Organized by the Chinese Forestry Society with the assistance of the NPUST Department of Forestry and Department of Wood Science and Design, the “2022 Sustainable Forest Development Seminar” took place on October 27 at the university Library and Conference Hall. NPUST president Chin-Lung Chang and Chinese Forestry Association chairman Han-Chien Lin jointly opened the conference which was attended by 285 people from government agencies, universities, and related industries. A total of 181 publications on “forestry academics” and “forestry industries” were made at the seminar, including 90 oral presentations and 91 poster presentations.
