Taiwan is located in the Circum-Pacific seismic belt and subtropical monsoon zone. The earthquake, typhoon, heavy rainfall and other natural disasters are highly frequency occurred. In addition, man-made disasters, unpredicted, occurred occasionally. Therefore, the government is very emphasized in the projects of disaster prevention, relief and promoting disaster prevention education.

This glass house is a BIPV type greenhouse with solar photovoltaic panels as part of the roof (Fig. 1). The construction starting since 2010, under the cooperation of Colleges of Agriculture and Engineering, the multi-function environmental controlled structure offers a teaching and researching platform.

Permeable pavement monitoring is required to understand the performance, including permeability, stability, and durability, of road pavements.

The community forestry research group was established in 2004. Our goal is to empower local communities and to promote ecotourism. We have devoted ourselves to surveying the unique culture and resources of the local communities and transforming them into a “Deep Economy” which emphasizes the concept of local purchasing and creates an environmentally sustainable system. We develop local models of ecotourism and promote them on a regional level.
